Psychedelic Cat was created in 2023 as a home for my work. What is Psychedelic Cat? Just like your favorite house feline stares up into the corners, seeing all the spirits, Psychedelic Cat is about seeing past reality. Seeing past the labels, rules and constrictions on society and asking ‘what if’? It is genre bending, blending dark sci-fi/fantasy/horror/mystery and any other aspect of life I want to throw in there. It is all about excellent fear, challenging yourself to grow and learn and always being willing to expand your horizons. It is all about the darkness and what lies there, it is also about the light that comes after, it is about hope and whimsy and love. It is about facing the hard questions of our life, and answering them; growing as humans and expanding our world views to include every possibility.
I believe in whimsy, love and communication. I believe that all humans are humans. I don’t believe that wars, hate, ignorant fear or anger have any place in our society. I believe nature should be preserved, and that a balance can be found between human needs and maintaining a beautiful planet. I believe that the only way forward is to face the toxic traits of our culture and spark the conversations to change them for the better. I believe in unicorns, dragons and all the things that lie outside of what we perceive with our eyes.
Someday I hope to grow Psychedelic Cat into a small imprint, to welcome others who bend the rules and challenge the toxic societal thoughts. That day may come, but for now, I’m happy sharing my stories with the world.
